It is said that
the Denko-ji Temple was constructed by Shitaku-risshi, a disciple of Priest
Ganjin. The camellia tree in the precincts is one of the three most famous
camellias in Nara, and is called "falling camellia," because each of the
petals of the flower falls down at a different time. |
